PSYCHICS
Intuition is a right brain that taps into the subconscious information in order to provide guidance. Being intuitive means that you able to tap into subconscious information in order to receive guidance. Intuition can be used to receive guidance about your own life (personal intuition) or to help other people (professional intuition). People who are intuitive are not necessarily psychic. Being intuitive is about receiving guidance to make better decisions in your life, and helping guide others in theirs.
Everybody is psychic to some degree. We all possess intelligent consciousness but access to spiritual abilities varies from person to person. A psychic receives knowledge or information based communication. All this is received by the spirit complex and then accessed by the mind. You can be psychic to a great degree. Psychics often have trouble discerning the thoughts or emotions of others, from ideas and feelings of their own.
Psychics
Psychics receive information from both spirits manifest as human (that's regular people) and spirits within the spirit realm. Those who communicate with discarnate spirits are usually called 'psychic mediums'. The word 'medium' represents a medium of communication, the psychic is like a telephone or email - the vessel for transference of meaning.
Psychics, that's each and every one of us to a varying degree, pick up knowledge and information. Examples include knowing a parcel has arrived just before the delivery driver pulls-up, knowing what another person is thinking, bringing-up a topic of a conversation that someone nearby is already thinking about, knowing a loved one is in trouble and so on. Facts however small, are received and can be acted upon. A psychic uses all 5 of his/ her clairsenses.
Clairvoyance – This is perhaps the most well-known form of psychic ability. The word clairvoyance is from the French language, and means “clear seeing”. Many use this term as a catch word for the ability to see something beyond the five senses. ESP would fall under the realm of clairvoyance, as would the ability to locate lost objects. Clairvoyance arises from the third eye, also known as the Brow Chakra or 6th Chakra, and as such, can be developed by everyone.
Clairaudience – Clairaudience means “clear hearing”, and indicates the ability to hear messages from the spirit world, including the dead, angels, guides. Channeling and mediumship would fall under clairaudience if the messages were “heard” by an individual, as would hearing sounds relevant to a reading.
Clairsentience – This form of discernment occurs through the body, often the gut area, and through feelings. When someone speaks of a “gut feeling”, hunch or “vibe”, they are likely using clairsentience.
Clairguscience – Clairguscience is the ability to taste food without physically eating it, or smell a scent without using an olfactory organ. For example, if someone were to do a reading and smell of flower ,smoke, perfume this bit of information could be relevant to the question at hand.
Claircognizance – This is a direct knowing that is, to having information download. A person just “knows” something, without knowing how they know it.
Commonly the untrained psychic has trouble discerning psychically received information from their own thoughts and ideas. For example, a child might ask her mother, 'when are we going to see grandma next?' - just as her mother was thinking the very same thing. The child perceives the thought as her own, but actually the notion was transferred from her mother.
Psychic skills can turn negative when the mind is intruded upon. This can occur when a spirit, usually discarnate (not in human form), purposefully initiates unwanted communication. A trained psychic knows how to 'close' their mind to spirits attempting to communicate unwanted messages when it's time for rest.
Being psychic, also know as being clairvoyant, means that you can perceive information that cannot be perceived through the normal senses (also called Extra Sensory Perception – ESP). That can include predicting the future, talking to non-physical beings (dead people, spirits) and being able to sense missing objects or people. Being psychic is about sensing information that other people can’t usually access.
